After years of delay, FDA has finally begun reviewing applications from thousands of flavored e-cigarette products that have never been regulated.
The latest federal figures report that 3.6 million young people are vaping with almost 40% of those now doing so frequently. The majority — eight out of ten — use flavored e-cigaretes, with 37% of them using menthol, a flavor for which JUUL has applied for FDA approval, even though the company claims to have abandoned flavors to “combat underage use." According to a new Stanford study, teens who vape are five-to-seven times more likely to contract COVID. It has never been more urgent or timely for parents across the country to demand that FDA ban these flavored products that are hooking an entire generation on nicotine!
