Dr. Monica Wilson is a nationally recognized leader, mental health advocate, educator and consultant. She has over 19 years in the Mental Health and Behavioral Health arena and has made an impact globally.
She is the Regional Director and Assistant Professor within the Psychology Department at National University where she runs and teaches in both the graduate and undergraduate counseling program. She is also the Chair of the Behavioral Health Commission for San Bernardino County 4 th District and Governor appointee for the California Behavioral Health Planning Council where she is the Chair of Legislative Committee and Chair-Elect of the Housing and Homeless Committee. She is the Chair of the Board for the Minority Psychology Network and also sits on the Diversity Network Committee for the Society of Preventive Research and the Mental Health Taskforce for Chaffey Unified School District.
Dr. Wilson is a published author and has presented at regional and national conferences for several prestigious professional organizations and associations. Her research has examined the impact of social stigma in communities of color to seeking mental health treatment. Suicide prevention and awareness and Youth mental health services within the education system.
