Quinn's Story

Lisa, Rhode Island

My daughter Quinn started using the juul her sophomore year of high school. The first time I found The juul in her car I thought It was a flash drive. I had To ask my two older children what it was, they explained it to me. My husband and I had Several conversations with Quinn to stop using this “ juul”.

Quinn told us numerous times she had quit. Fast forward Quinn started her sophomore year of college the news was out how dangerous this juul was. I remember it like it was yesterday. I said Quinn “ you are an adult now and I And I can No longer tell you what to do, but this juul is very dangerous and could kill you. Please stop. She told me she really did this time she saw everything on tv about it. That was September 6 2019.

On September 11 2019 I got A phone call at work from her she was crying and telling me mom I don’t want to get out of bed. I don't Feel right. Quinn was leaving in a house off campus from the university of Rhode Island with one roommate. I told Her I’m coming down to your house and getting you out of bed. I left work and went to her house.

When I arrived at her house there Was a little girl that I did Not recognize. The next month was the hardest month of Quinn, myself and my husbands life. She hit rock bottom. She was very depressed, sad, didn’t want me to leave her side. My husband and I would drive her back and forth to school. We would have to stay In the parking lot at school and wait for her It was all the withdrawal symptoms of the Juul it was a nightmare.

If she didn’t have The support system she had I don't know what would have happened.. I truly pray the laws will Change in every state. This is something I Would not want my worst enemy to go through
